We just cannot get a timely hit.
These kinds of games are incredibly frustrating to watch. Too many free bases and TCU is making LSU pay for them. They're 7-12 with 2 out, and 5-8 with RISP.

They are bad calls , but TCU is probably the best team I've ever seen getting 2 out hits.Very similar to UCLA 3 years ago. They worked Lange over badly. This is why I wish cpm would recruit more junks pitchers. Those guys get tons of ground outs and keep innings short.

Lange was off first inning but only gave up 1 run then.. Then he was squeezed so hard by the ump and they took advantage when it should have been k's ended up in walks and a homer.

Imo between Lange going out so early and this ump screwing us, it's really deflated our morale. This could easily be just a 2 run game if not for the ump

I see him changing his calls now. He must think he's given TCU a good enough lead.
Those early calls were obvious strikes by Lange if you visualize the location of the ball now.

regardless. even the guys who weren't a threat to necessarily hit the ball knew how to be patient at the plate, foul pitches off, and get into the bullpen early by making pitchers throw a lot of pitches.
