It was close enough. Maybe if he hadn't stared at a 1-1 pitch down the middle he wouldn't have had to worry about that close call

BUT, Lange walked 5, hit a guy and threw 3 WP's in about 4 innings. THAT is the other reason we gave up 8 runs and lost the game.

Actually, I am pretty sure that is what CPM was thinking. Get on base so that Romero could try to do some damage. CPM certainly didn't pinch hit Dawson for the 3 run homer.
