This has to be one of the most impressive pitching performances of the year for LSU. AR had 29 pitches in the first...about 60 after 3...very little control...and then he doesnt give up a hit the rest of the way pitching 7.1 innings. Very impressive. The guy is gutsy...and a winner.

That's what happens when you only throw strikes

And obviously it was worth mentioning, so I'll leave you to figure it out.
Well I can figure that any base runner, especially a very fast base runner, will move from 2B to 3B on a ground out to the second baseman.
If he did not move up, then that would have needed to be mentioned.

Thank God for the wild pitch. Nola is a miserable hitter. Absolutely hopeless right now (yes, I know there's a thread about it).
The guy's got the biggest hit of the game tonight.

Regardless of outcome, Ranaudo may have had his best performance - not statistically, but gutsy, bulldog type game. He really settled down after a rough first 2-3 innings.

I am working and unable to stay reading as game is going.
last i looked, we were down 4-0. without reading all the pages, can someone give me a quick recap of how we scored 5?

That was the first hit for MSU in 17 consecutive batters.

How can winning the SEC not be important?
not many people talk about SEC Championships in baseball
Josh, you obviously know baseball but you need to stop it with the "winning the SEC regular season is not important" stuff. We all know that we've advanced to and won the CWS in years when we didn't win the SEC, but this year it is very important. IMO, the SEC will get a max of 2 top 8 seeds and I think that 1 will go to the regular season champ. If we win the SEC, there will be no pressure to win in the SEC tournament and frankly I don't think we have the pitching to win the tourney.
