I would say that if asked the question Who do you want to have the ball in any given scenerio with the season on the line I would go with Coleman. He is the best all around pitcher we have. AR is the best starter. The ace doesn't always have to be the best starter.

I was thinking the same thing. Coleman is our ace, but Ranaudo blanked UGA in his usual FRIDAY night start

what is hard to understand that coleman pitches 2 innings of relief on friday, then throws 8 innings and 120+ pitches on sunday, and somehow you don't think he is the ace of our staff when he's 8-1 and in the top 3-5 in about every major pitching category in the league. if PM was given the choice of pitching ranaudo or coleman in a must-win game, and both players had equal rest, coleman would get the call every single time.
