I was at the football game last night and thought it was one of the most exciting I've seen. However, I don't have anything original to add to the plethora of posts about it so I'll just post about the baseball scrimmage from today if you don't mind.

I think Mathis will find his way into the starting line up. I have only seen one practice but he looked good in the field. I also noticed little things like he hustles. Coach gave him a high five after batting practice session. Coach and him in serious conversation in the dugout. He is a JC transfer. My guess would be 2B.

There are at least four position players who are not allowed to throw at this time. I assume they are being extra careful with sore arms but I don't have any inside info about that.
