CPM said that they were trying Hellmers out with the bat but he didn't seen enthused about it. I think the Austin Bain experiment was the exception that proves the rule.

He ended the shortened season with one of the highest OPSs on the team. I don’t think he’ll be a high average guy, but he’s going to slug and walk.
