Are they planning on doing this again this year?

I hope not. Let’s take all the time to learn the fundamentals throwing strikes, baserunning & fielding. The exhibition means nothing.

I think a good classic featuring USM, LSU, FSU, Tulane, and a couple other locals would be a good draw annually.

Biloxi loves it because they actually make some $ for a scrimmage
I'm sure Biloxi would love to get LSU for a regular season game though and make even more

I'm guessing that won't happen as LSU will play a non conf game at UNLV after the Las Vegas Classic

We were supposed to play Florida State in Biloxi for a midweek back in 2023 but they backed out.

Biloxi would love it as the Shuckers draw an abysmal crowd. Bring in USM and FSU or Auburn. It would be a good RPI move. I has to be better than going to Houston or Dallas and playing in tournaments that you can't stream. I hate that.

I don’t see why the streaming situation would be any different.
Exhibition, not on an SEC field, would likely mean it’s not on ESPN….

Don't see why they couldn't. USM, Tulane, and MSU already play there.

I would love to see us schedule our midweek games around/along the I-10 corridor. Going west would include McNeese, Lamar, UH, and Rice in addition to those mentioned above.

Virtually all college baseball games are streamed on ESPN+ except the big expo tournaments in Houston and Dallas. I doubt Biloxi or whoever controls that stadium would try to control TV rights of a tournament. They just want people in the seats.

Not true…
ESPN streams college baseball because if the media deals it has cut with conferences.

The media deal that the SEC entered with ESPN, says that espn MUST stream all the games played at an SEC park. ESPN accepted these terms because it’s a package deal with football, etc.

ESPN has entered similar deals with other conferences like the ACC.

However, these pre-season tournaments are not played on SEC fields and therefore, ESPN is not forced to stream them.
This is why if LSU plays at Nichols or UL, or Southeastern the game is not streamed.

Streaming regular college baseball is not a moneymaker for ESPN.

Besides McNeese…. That’s basically a yearly “Regional” lineup

This is not true.

Here is a preview of LSU @ Nicholls in Thibodaux from 2025 season the day before the scheduled game from LSUSports.net. It clearly lists streaming on ESPN+. Btw, LSU came back to win the game.

Lamar, houston, and rice have one combined regional appearance in the last 7 years. And it was lamar this year. So….just a bit off

Wrong. The away games are streamed on ESPN+. At Southeastern this year was streamed.

Home and conference games, SECN+.

I hope so. Had a great time last year.

I honestly wish they would do it every fall.

Sorry, but I watche plenty of UL and USM games on ESPN+ this year. I have a friend with a son on the USM team. Every game they played this year was streamed. It’s not just the SEC and ACC.
