Hard to disagree with any of the quotes in that article.

I guarantee you some of the staff in football read this board. I would bet anything on that .

It's still ridiculous baseball gets just 11.7 scholarships among all those players

I'm pretty encouraged by what our pitching staff has done this year and what we have coming in the future.
Going to have all those arms back next year besides probably Hess but get Walker back

Florida wasn't very good at hitting last year but they had 5 elite pitchers plus 5 above avg guys and that's why they won the NC

I read that article earlier, I like getting insight on the recruiting process. It was a good write up. I think we have a great 2018 class lined up. I really hope we can hold onto a few of the draft risks.

And to everyone's dismay, there is only one 5'9" player in the class. Everyone else is taller, including more than one 6'3" position player.

They probably have someone in the department that does though. Every football program does, so it wouldn't surprise me for LSU baseball.

The beat writers definitely read this site though. Not to take information from here, as they are professionals, and very good at what they do. But I think they get ideas on what questions the fans have by reading the message boards, which can then give them ideas on what to write.

It would shock the shite out of me if any of the baseball coaches read TigerDroppings.

A few years ago when I was talking with Will Davis when he was coaching at LSU and I mentioned Tigerdroppings, he stopped me and asked, "What is that?"

Life is so tough on Paul. You'd think he gets 27 roster spots and everyone else gets 45.

Very good article.

Pitching has been beyond good so far this year. Especially given what we lost.

Hitting has been hurt by injuries. Still maybe some players can step up not named Dups or Watson.

Article explains somewhat why we don't get Bertman players/teams but doesn't explain why Florida, Vandy and other SEC teams get dynamite pitchers/players....

Especially when LSU players play before the greatest NCAA baseball attendance fans year after year

It's unbelievable that we have fans that want Paul fired and we have fans that are happy with the football coach at the same time. I'm pretty convinced that a high percentage are in both camps.

Mainieri does in fact read Tigerdroppings regularly. Not kidding.

Not impying anything by it. Why not read all kinds of different things. Hell, he might like comic relief like I sometimes get when watching CNN.

Vandy uses endowments and "leadership scholarships" to sign players, which is why Tulane hired a Vandy assistant who knew how to work the system. Notice how ethnically diversified Vandy's roster has always been.

Say what you will, but baseball is different. Will we ever see Coastal Carolina win a national championship in football??
