Vanderbilt is a private school, Corbin cannot offer full scholarships to 20 kids as juniors the way he does at his current program

Amazing how losers will always find excuses.

Exactly, and the year they finally broke through and won the CWS, they finished 3rd in their division in the SEC and 6th overall. Baseball is a weird sport like that but too many "fans" are unable to process it. Same with Florida. They have been the national #1 seed in the tournament several times and choked time after time when it mattered. Last year, like Vanderbilt, was not their best team they've had

accepting reality isn't an excuse. And until you accept that LSU will never, regardless of the coach, have anywhere close to the success they did under Skip, you will be eternally ignorant.

Vanderbilt was much better in 2015 than they were in 2014 when they won the championship.

Baseball definitely is get hot at the right time sport.

Luckily LSU hasn’t peaked yet, maybe they won’t at all who knows.

Vanderbilt was better in 2007 when they were the #1 overall seed in the tournament, but they lost at home in the regionals. David Price, maybe you've heard of him , gave up a walk off homerun to send Vanderbilt to the offseason

It’s impossible to talk reason with people like the OP for starters he doesn’t understand marginal differences. Florida is not ULL . You’re not gonna poach a coach from a place like that or Vandy anyway. Look at the search Texas had a couple years ago their resources and history are on par with LSU

Some of you people don’t realize LSU is a baseball dynasty waiting to happen.
Your problem is you don’t think dynasties are possible anymore and so you look for excuses as to why LSU can’t do better than we are.
Dynasties can happen. If they can happen in college football they can damn sure happen in baseball.
PM ain’t the answer. This is a certainty

Florida was the #1 team for much of 2012 year and earned the top national seed before going 0-2 in Omaha.

In 2013 Florida went 29-30 overall and 14-16 in conference.

2014-#2 National seed
2015-#4 National seed
2016-#1 National seed
2017-#3 National seed

All programs are not immune to having down years. What’s my point? O’Sullivan needed years and years of getting to Omaha before he got his first title.

Would he be a great hire for LSU? Absolutely. Would he win multiple titles at LSU in a 10 year span? Doubtful

They are not realistic anymore.

Go look at the facilities in the SEC now, everyone’s catching up to the pack...it’s an arms race. Every SEC school can offer state of the art facilities, partial scholarship, and a chance to play for 2-3 years before the draft.

it's much easier in football when the best team wins the national title most years. Sports like baseball and basketball that have long tournaments to decide the champion are inherently more difficult It's taken Coach K, who is arguably one of the best coaches in any sport of all time, has needed 40 years to win 5 national titles. Saban has managed to accomplish this in 11 years at Alabama.
