He wasn’t referring to the size of the schools but the size of the players. OU looked like JV players and LSU players looked like varsity players.

Want a secret?

Focus always comes from the players. Not a whole lot the coach can do to keep them focused if they don’t have that from within already.

Also said Oklahoma looked like they did not want to be there and LSU was personable like always.

I noticed this morning OU players as well as Riley seem to be tense and LSU players and coaches were relaxed. I don't know how that is going to translate to what happens on the field but i would perfer our guys to be relaxed instead of tense.

I guarantee you that these players are ALL BUSINESS. They're focused on preparation and execution. Believe that!

Sallee is the same guy who mentioned all the reasons why Ohio State was the CLEAR number one a few weeks ago. Most of it had to do with schedule. Auburn was middle of the road , Florida was average, and Texas was hot garbage. OSU had faced a top ten PENN ST team, Cincinnati is an above average team, and Michigan was as good a win as Auburn, UF, or Texas. Today he said Auburn would be the best defense in the playoff, didn’t mention UF, and has changed his description of the Texas game. He also made note of how not explosive Penn St, Michigan, and someone else was.

He is 100% full of shite and talks out of both sides of his mouth in the same damn radio show on Sirius XM, and I’ve lost respect for Luginbill because Luuuugs literally just agrees with whatever Sallee says.

I watched alot of the media coverage today, and certainly noticed the difference in demeanor between the 2 teams. However, I took it as OU being extremely focused and with a chip on their shoulder. They almost seemed aggravated about having to continue to answer questions about how they match up against such a good team...from the standpoint that they really are not as impressed as everyone else.

The reality is that LSU is a complete team. While the defense may come across as a weakness, we have dudes everywhere. OU has a guy here, a guy there, etc...but they have huge holes in certain areas.

Anything can happen, and OU's holes may close up. That's why they play the game.

Focus comes from leadership, if they are coaches or players or a combo of each. Leaders keep the right amount of pressure on those around them to keep them in the right frame of mind. We have great leadership in our coaching ranks, great leadership on Offense. I think Jacobs Stevens developed as a leader this year on the D, but although we have some ballers, he might be the first only leader on D.

He must have meant size of the players not enrollment of the universities. Scholarships are scholarships, student body size is irrelevant .

I am hating all this unbeatable talk. I think it plays way into OU’s hand. Hope LSU is focused. OU is a very good team.

Man i really hope we come out to play because the way the media, players comments and especially the rantards are talking like OU is some low level OoC beginning of the season cupcake... i think we win but this will be far from an easy game.

We may very well pull away in this one, but the media is doing their best to get OU riled up and feel disrespected. I don't like being the team everyone is drooling over, but it is what it is. This is O's and players challenge this week to really block out the noise.
