This phrase will be repeated more in the future. What a shame, but we fixed it going forward, IMHO.

When a guy runs a 4.4, it helps to throw him down field routes instead of contested 5 yard comebacks - all against press man coverage.

Joe Sloan doesn't deserve peace.

The field side comebacks were maddening. A 40 yard throw for a best case scenario of 5 yards with no YAC. And we wouldn't even use Trey'Dez or Nic Anderson or any of the big bodied receievers to run them. It'd be Zavion Thomas and Barion Brown fighting a corner for 5 yards.

To be complimented by a bubble screen the play before leaving the DBs squatting on the routes. There were two plays that stick out where we brought a tight formation and had 2 routes with 8 blocking and the routes were comebacks. DE just into the passing lane on each side so ball goes out of bounds. If I never see that type of play design again it'll still be too many.

It was like a bizarro world Gary Crowton offense mixed with a 2014 Cam Cameron offense.

You'd see flashes and then they'd just shut down. Even the personel decisions made no sense.

Hey it's a short yardage play and we've got three guys that carry the ball. Two have ball security issues and one hasn't fumbled in 2 years. Who should we give it to?

Also, we can't run the ball at all. We have a 6'7 TE that either catches the ball or draws a PI on every end zone target he's ever gotten. What are we going to do?

We're going to let JuJuan Johnson take a wild cat snap and lose yards or fumble.

We've got a very good slot receiver. Our plan is to use him 3 plays in a row in the first game of the season in the middle of the field, and then avoid using the middle of the field (unless it's a screen pass) that for the remainder of the season. You're getting zero blitzed and it's 3rd and 4 and there's an LB on your NFL draftee slot WR? Who cares! comeback route to the 5'10 return man!

Also, we have 2 elite return men. What are we going to tell them to do on kick offs? If the ball is one yard into the endzone, we're going to go ahead and FC.

I think the most angry I've ever been in Tiger Stadium was the third quarter vs A&M.

We ran like 15 plays in 3 possessions, about 5 of which were field side comeback routes to the small receivers, and despite getting the ball shoved down our throat, decided to put absolutely zero pressure on the A&M defense.

There was one ball thrown more than 5 yards down field and it was a corner route to Aaron Anderson against cover 2 that wasn't going to work regardless. We even ran the Zavion motion counter out of the backfield that was telegraphed every single time, and a Trey'Dez RPO that was somehow more obvious than the Zavion run.

Brown will probably make the team as a return specialist.
That cornerback will be looking for a real job.

I wish we could have seen him with a healthy QB and good OL. He would have killed it in our 2024 offense.
