I thought we should've gone for the 4th down conversion in the 3rd qtr. Yes we allowed them to remain in the game. I don't think we played bad enough on either side of the ball to assign blame though

I agree.

I hope most of our fans don't think playing press coverage with a 12 pt lead and 2 and a half min left is the smart way to play it. I still can't believe we played that way. If anything you want bama to dink and dunk down the field...you don't allow an 85 yd pass play in that situation
Yep, make them run a handful of plays and even if it ends in a td LSU likely wins.

Can I just point out that I don’t mind if Bama sneaks in as the 4 seed? Everyone keeps jumping to all of the missed opportunities, by both teams. At the end of the day, the better team won, as is the case in almost every game. We outplayed them in the biggest moments and out coached them. Barring injuries, we will still be the better team if we face them again. I’d much rather face them than OSU at this point, as well as a motivated Clemson. Also, who’s to say Oregon isn’t better than Bama at this point??

He has a point and is a talking point for media as well and y'all know it is.

It was a shame but they will look at that for sure. LSU dominated their defense but they will look at the Alabama offense as well.

Statistically, the team that lost the first game will win the rematch. I'm not saying that we wouldn't win, but we shouldn't have to play them again because they don't deserve another shot at us. I'm sorry, but I don't want to have to live another 1/9/12. It would be even worse this time around.

The bottom line is that have done nothing on the field that warrants them being in the playoff. They would be getting in just because they're Bama. They have zero quality wins and if the committee puts them in over a one-loss conference champ with a better resume, then they're sending the message that what happens on the field doesn't matter as much as Bama's pedigree.

If they get the onside kick they probably win the game. Wasn't meaningless at all. You couldnt be more wrong, bud.

They would have a narrative no matter what they lost by

The difference in 5-12 means very little

Auburn beat them by 12 in 2017 and Bama still got in

Yup.

3 High Zone.............you can watch the NFL from now until the end of time, and you'll NEVER see a team up two scores with less than 90 seconds to go with CBs anywhere near the fricking LOS.

It was stupid on steroids. Note, I pretty much like Aranda. But, even great coaches shite the bed on occasion. He shite the bed.

Bama was NEVER in a position to win the game. They were looking for a chance to win...that never materialized.

The 2017 comparison has to stop. Ohio State has two loses.

The SEC will campaign like crazy to get Bama in the CFP. It’s all about the money. I hope the do get in and I hope we play them again. We will curb stomp them this time and there will be no doubt about who’s better and it will ensure that Kardell Thomas’ prediction will come true.

So Saban, the greatest DC ever, giving up the most points ever at Alabama means what then?

What if they win? It will be 1/9/12 all over again. The media will say that Bama won the game the mattered, and what happened on Saturday will be forgotten by everyone except LSU fans. Why would you want to take the risk of having to beat an opponent twice when they basically cheated to get the remstch? It's not worth it.

Dude. The pundits are already talking about how Bama almost pulled it out despite getting their heads kicked in. Tua's numbers are gaudy after that last TD reception. Bama is in the conversation still because they lost by 5 and were "an onside kick away from winning," instead of by 12 with the game never in doubt.

Do you always cry yourself to sleep worrying about things you can't control? As you obviously live a very horrible and very miserable life.

Yep, Joe Galloway just said pretty much this exact same thing on the CFP show in defense of Bama staying in his top 4. I stand by my OP. IT MATTERS.

Who cares if they squeak in as a number 4? Why would we worry about it on a neutral field?
