Was it Ritter that called the Patrick Peterson interception incomplete?
It was his side judge and then the replay official. Ritter himself didn't make the call iirc.

Nothing shows he touched it. If he did, his feet were still in bounds. You're either blind or just can't admit when you're wrong.

Scroll up and watch the video in this thread Axl.

Can you not see #8's right arm extended in front of PP as the ball arrives ?

This interception would have scored 10 points for LSU. This call cost LSU the game.

Bama loses more often Ritter on the field than any other ref. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of a good story.

I have a friend who is an Sec ref and he graduated from LSU. He is not allowed to call LSU games. I'm not going to give his name and I don't care if any of you don't believe me

Because he always refs games against Bama's best opponents.

IIRC, word at the time was the replay official in the booth was a Bama grad (dont recall name but not Ritter) who ruled it incomplete.

In 2014 the penalty breakdown was 3-2 in FAVOR of LSU.

It has nothing to do with the total amount of penalties. It is the timeliness of them. Last year is a perfect example.

Yup. Without that 15 yard PF penalty on Bama's 4 yard line, LSU goes in for 7. Game is likely over.

At any rate, the call appears to be correct. Jones touched the ball while out of bounds. The ball is dead. Not that it mattered in the end. LSU lost by 9, and that wasn't a 9-point play.

Bammer isnt too good with facts....or more accurately, we quickly see thru your spin.

Timeliness of calls is the key point with Ritter.

So Jones touches the ball first, even though both of Peterson's hands are in front of Jones'? You realize that is physically impossible, right?

Look guys. Any bias is really, but it doesn't happen on every play or replay. What they do is make calls which stall drives, keep drives alive, etc. This gives Bama more possessions and maybe changes the field position game which helps any team getting those calls.

It's the subtle but effective stuff that add up and sway advantage.

I don't think Ritter would just see a blatantly obvious replay and rule against it. That would jeopardize the whole scheme

I haven't followed this whole conversation, but why would Jones touching the ball while in bounds make the play dead?
