It was a BS call. Even the ref in the booth said he was surprised by the call. They reminded him of the "plan to usher LSWho to the CFP" then he attempted to back it up.

Other than Hubert Owens, that crew last night let ELESWho get away with murder, and the majority of the calls went against us. Go back and re watch the game. The Coonasses put on a holding clinic. No wonder Burrows had all damn night. And, the "supposed" catch at the 1 anda half....dude was OUT OF BOUNDS by 7 or 8 inches and Diggs did not touch the ball. Should've been reversed. But, hey the SEC wants Ogre and his bunch in Atlanta...anyone but us!

Roll Tide!

One of my coworkers is a bandwagon Bama fan, and the first thing she said to me this morning was, "The refs blew that call on the sideline. He didn't catch it. The refs made sure y'all won."

I pulled up a picture of the Patrick Peterson interception and asked if she really wanted to discuss blown calls.

As you continue to inbreed, the brain cells are diminished exponentially with each generation. I fully expect that most Alabama fans will slide back into the primordial ooze at some point, never to be heard from again. Earth IQ will then raise 20%... addition by subtraction! Geaux Tigers!!

Was a hell of a catch.

Wasn't it like first down though? I don't get why everyone is so upset about it lol. As if we weren't going to get 7 on that soft defense that drive regardless.

Diggs pushes him out, so he can be the first to touch it if he establishes himself back in the field before the catch, which he did.

If not, it’s PI on Diggs.

Exactly. They got one and we got one. Call it even and STFU.

The Losing team blaming the refs spans all sports and all fan bases. Sad isn’t it.

This is spot on. Was not a scoring play, and even if that was incomplete we were scoring at will.

But they not only let it stand, they actually fricking confirmed it. Absolute right call. Anyone arguing against it doesn't understand the rules of football.

One of THE BEST individual athletic plays I have ever seen. Our guys were locked in for this game and everyone put 100% on the line.

That play happened on first down. Does anyone really believe that Bama would have kept LSU from scoring anyway?

Those tears taste so good though.

If by "we got one" you mean we didn't get screwed, then yeah.

For once, it seems, the refs made the right call and correctly utilized the replay.
The ruling was that contact led to him stepping out beforehand, so he could be first to touch it. So, no illegal touching.

And he definitely caught it in bounds. That's why it was "replay confirms" the call, rather "the play stands."

We got away with an irrelevant face mask on the punt return (how the hell did they miss that?), but they missed several where the gumps grabbed Tiger masks. And the refs let BOTH OL play. But we got screwed on a PI no call on Chase that could have been a score early on, and they kept one of Bama's late drive going with a phantom PI on Fulton.

So, overall the refs were better, but I don't think we got any particular advantage. Just more evenly called. Bama not used to that. Calls usually go their way (see Tenn this year for great example or many more).

It may have been a makeup call for the obvious missed holding call on Chase earlier that drive. We didn't get the first down call on CEH.

The play was 1st and 10 from the Bama 18 yard line

do they really think it mattered if it was ruled a no catch?

This is the part that cracks me up.

We were going to score anyway.

This times a million. Total lack of awareness to bitch about this call. Not to mention they don't want acknowledge that the rule was explained later. Argue if you want that Moss wasn't forced out by the defender, but they act like once his foot touched out there's no scenario for it to be a catch. They explained the rule, retards. Then on top of that we had 2 more downs to score OR get another 1st down anyway.
