Your point seems to be that allowing 20 points in regulation to a good SEC offense is bad. I disagree. Going into the game if we all knew that LSU’s defense would only give up 20 how confidant would we have been? Very!

Again mfers, I am not saying this pretty much all the LSU sports pundits are. Even Matt used the word “disgusting” over and over. Ruffino was foaming at the mouth mad, and Carter was speechless until the film study and then basically I tried to tell you fricking rantards this Summer that Baker is overrated and this would happen. Great players last year hid a lot of problems.

Not a single one of you mfers defending Baker were willing to invest a whole 15 minutes into watching that play by play breakdown by a guy that does that shite for a living. And that didn’t even include the soft zone bullshite. Not a single fricking one of you. Apparently, no one on the defense will ever watch it either because we keep doing the same stupid shite again and again and again.

I watched it. Not a great game by Baker, but we still should’ve won.

3 egregiously massive holds (ALL literally right in front of the ball carrier) were not called by the refs on 3rd down conversions.

Carter points them all out.

Three stops, not two. It was the entire third quarter.

My thoughts on that would be that he is doing what he is paid handsomely to do, and it's not like he's going up against some offensive juggernaut either in Kentucky. We were 10.5 point favorites on the road heading into the game for a reason.

Baker is one of if not the most highly paid assistants in the country, so I don't think we should be singing his praises necessarily for getting 3 straight stops against Kentucky of all teams and acting like that is some tremendous task asked of him.

He's given up end of half points in 5 straight SEC road games, and he's allowed scoring opportunities on half of all of our SEC road opponent's drives since Marcel Reed entered the game for A&M in 2024.

Thank you that’s a fair assessment. Sloan owned him when it mattered.

I just had a chance to watch it.

Man, I honestly don’t think we watched the same video

I don’t know this guy, never watched his stuff, but it seems like he has a history of calling out Baker and he narrates this breakdown with that idea in mind and just keeps saying it even when his own breakdown of a play ends with something like “pretty good call there but penalty/missed tackle/great play by Kentucky so it didn’t go our way”

Even the 2 pt at the end he says well this looked horrible but now that I’ve heard Lane’s explanation that makes a lot more sense but it was still a disaster lol.

He goes on and on about how creative and difficult Stein’s concepts are and how the three TEs the roll out are so difficult to defend, then says yeah Baker just can’t get stops when it counts, as if every DC Lane slices up is just a disaster and not due to Lane being a great play designer/caller.

He talks about the injuries and how most of those plays are defended better with our missing starters there but oh man this was inexcusable

Then at the end he literally says Blake isn’t bad….he just needs to be better….but this was such a mess

He talked about a breakdown he did right after the game so it sounds to me that he had a not fully informed instant reaction and doesn’t really believe what he said initially is correct anymore but doesn’t want to fully admit it so keeps kind of saying this wasn’t a terrible call but look it didn’t work so therefore it’s still bad.

Again I don’t know this dude, his breakdown during each play seems intelligent but the overall message of this being some huge indictment on Baker seems very colored by previous statements and positions he’s taken going back to last year rather than just an objective look at one game

Baker is getting paid over 3 million a year. He is one of the top paid coordinators in college football. He hasnt cracked the top 25 in total defense in the 3 years he has been here. Yeah they improved but when youre total last then you are going to improve. Dont try to say his defense is highly ranked this year especially after Ole Miss and Kentucky put over 400 yards on his defense. Baker is not good enough to coach our defense to and through the playoffs. Also quit blaming the offense. They put us in position to win both games that we lost. We will not make it to the playoffs as long as Baker is our d coordinator. Thats a fact.
