I made this post before catching up on the thread and seeing it posted—it was my 1st reaction and noticed it a couple of batters before he came out. He appeared to be looking at the tip of his middle finger after a pitch or 2. However, I missed the meeting on the mound with the trainer and coaches, so I didn’t see any of what they were looking at.

Could y’all tell it was definitely something other than a blister? I was worried he fricked up his left shoulder diving for that bunt. I know he lost a lot of weight, but that’s still a big ol’ boy landing that hard like that.

This team seems to have one if those innings every game
