He was suspended 30 days without pay after LSU’s investigation. Should’ve been fired. But his Nola connections kept that from happening.

Verge and the committee will do the legwork, talk to agents/coaches to gauge interest, find out what it will take to get coach x,y, or z. They will provide the board with feedback along the way and then be able to throw out official offer. Coach will then decide whether or not to accept or lobby his current school to match. If accepted formal rec to board for the rubber stamp.

Both of his kids went to other schools. One went to ND and the other went to Auburn. Now one is back home and redshirt LSU player.
He didn't force his kids to go to LSU. I see nothing wrong with that. Those 2 boys were all over LSU when they were growing up... basketball court, football field, softball and baseball. He allowed his kids to choose where they fit in best.
I absolutely hated my high school and resented having to go to a school I didn't choose. Verge didn't do that to his kids for college and again, there is NOTHING wrong with that.

What is selective about it? As a human being, the guy is a complete piece of shite that has no business being employed by LSU after he helped to cover up sexual and domestic violence committed by his godson even worse who was a football player on the team.
Verge should have been fired a decade a go, yet he is now interim acting AD. Further, it was the board member’s own words stating Verge will have full authority and say to hire a coach, not speculation.
