Clearly didn’t pan out professionally but he was pretty good at LSU. 2012 Bama game was a loss but that was his best game as a tiger.

T-Bob had a mini bitch fest in the linked interview about that game and the coaches taking the ball out of Zach's hands. May have been goading ZM to bashing the former staff.

Mett was a good overall passer, good arm talent with touch and accuracy, but he had a slower delivery and he had shite for pocket presence.

He showed some bright spots in the NFL at times. Not many, but his skill level was there IMO. So he might actually be right. It wouldn’t surprise me if his work ethic was shite.
Still, impossible to say he could have been a successful NFL qb. It’s a rare feat.

Either way, they were right. Mettenberger was outstanding in the second half. He completed big pass after big pass, many times under immense pressure. He was tremendous on third down. Then, with LSU only needing one first down to seal the game, Les went into his risk averse shell and took the ball out of ZM's hands in favor of settling for a long FG that even had it been made, still allowed a TD to beat you.
