Those calls weren't just on random plays. Thy were 3rd downs, plays to put LSU out of fg range, it was awful.

That game was the toughest and hardest hitting game I may have seen too. Dorsey and crew were animals that day.

There were a bunch of BS calls in that game.

10 years and I my heart rate jumps whenever I think of that game. Worst officiated game ever. The fix was so damn obvious.

Yes it was a very good hard hitting intense frustrating game on the plains and hot as shite I recall; Tigers played too close to vest was the feeling and still with all the referenced BS calls the crowd felt JR was going to complete that TD last pass but just came a few yards short!
We always seem to struggle there anyway looking at the last 10 years so I expect more of same this year but should get W!

That was not a completed pass. Nice defensive play. Can't blame the receiver.

By today's measure, I would not consider that a catch.

What does that have to do with a play in 2006. What are you going to do, go back after the fact and change history based on a how you feel today? ? Did I somehow click on alabama's message board?

yep. 4 scoring drive killers against a top 10 ten sec team on the road. 8 total bad calls, no calls. impossible to overcome that. Believe me, if JR had thrown a TD pass that last play flags would have been flying for a hold or OPI. we were not winning that game. that was decided early on by officals.

You know...as much as LSU got prison raped by the officials that game with all the calls that have been mentioned, and with this being the nail in the coffin call, there is a series of photos somewhere taken from the endzone behind LSU's offense which really shows how bad this play was.

What you can;t really tell from the video or from this this photo was how bad Russel's pass was here. Early was WIDE fricking open and had JR lead him they couldn't have interfered with him had they wanted to. Instead, JR pulled the string on the ball as he let go and under threw it badly forcing Early to come back for it which is what enabled both the form tackle by Gilbert but also the tip by the other assclown in the photo. The series of still photos from behind our offense shows this...wish someone could find them. Almost positive they were taken form the LSU section by a fan?

Now...none of that excuses the bullshite call here, or any of the others. At all. And in no way does it mean I blame any of that on JaMarcus, as I don't at all. But it is frustrating knows that even as badly as LSU got jobbed that day a good pass by a typically great QB ends all of that and we're talking today about that game that ALMOST cost LSU the SECW that year and potentially a trip to the NC game instead of talking about how it cost LSU everything that year with one of it's best teams.

I think this is the angle you are talking about

Here's another:

^ Not the best quality, but if you zoom in you can see the DB on Doucet dive and grab him while the ball is still 10 yard away, then is full on tackling doucet trying to come back to the ball while he still has a "chance" to come make a play
