I was looking at our recent recruiting classes and noticed that our top 8 guys from the 2015 class are gone. I know we have to expect some guys to go pro early, but geez that is rough!

Top 8 from 2015 class

Alabama lost 7 of their top 8 signees from 2015 to either transfers or the draft. Damien Harris is the only one returning.

Don’t act like this is just happening at LSU.

Is he doing anything significant elsewhere? Serious question. I don't know

He's at Tennessee State. He hasn't played yet.

He's a project technique and experience wise, but he's got a perfect frame and athleticism for an OT.

ETA:

I was wrong! He has played...no idea how he did.

He played last season. He didn't start the first game of the season for them, but he did start the second game. I stopped looking at the game logs after that.

It's pretty impossible to tell how he's doing though. So I have no idea if he had a good season or not.

But the physical tools were there, but he was very raw. I'd still rather have him here than elsewhere though.

He actually started at LT for them in every game but their first.

Oh my bad, I didn't see any stats.

Obviously like you said that's tough with an OL.

all teams have attrition. especially if you are a big time sec program. i am tired of hearing this is some situation unique to LSU.

What part of "I know we have to expect some guys to go pro early" did you not understand.

Like every class, there are hits and misses. If you think that class is weak, you may be mentally handicapped. Some elite players and some very high potential guys.

Elite:
Rashard Lawrence
Greedy
Devin White
Ed Alexander

High potential guys that have contributed and have a chance to turn elite:
Divinity
Eric Monroe
Drake Davis
Stephen Sullivan
Dee Anderson
Donavaughn Campbell

Question Marks, Time will tell:
Krisitian Fulton (Could have included him in the above section)
Glen Logan
Andre Anthony
Ray Thornton
Jakori Savage
Cushenberry
Pettigrew
Cam Lewis

Whiffs:
Saivion Smith
Sci Martin
Culp
Caleb Roddy
Lindsey "the GOAT" Scott
Trevonte Valentine
Willie "Soft" Allen

Nobody has mentioned that the bottom half of this class has sucked "so far". George Brown and Xavier Lewis are gone, Adrian Magee has done nothing. You do have to hit on a few guys there.

The success or failure of this class will depend on what Brossette, Ducre, Fournette do at RB this year IMHO. The bottom half of the class is basically a bust if they don't contribute.
