I hear many “so called fans” on here all the time complaining about the difference between LSU and Alabama. They complain about the coach, complain because big bad Alabama gets a recruit and we don’t, even complain that the SEC is out to get us. I think the main problem is attitude. If you think you are gonna lose, usually you will. I can’t believe how bad it has gotten around here. Alabama got their butts handed to them in recruiting by Georgia this year. Did they start crying and complaining? I doubt it. Next year, Georgia may bring that swagger to the field instead of playing scared, and beat them there too. Auburn ain’t scared of them and they beat them even when Alabama beats them in recruiting. Even A&M beat them when they were confident but couldn’t beat us because they are scared of us. We need to change our attitude on the field, with our coaches, and with our fans. I don’t know if Ed O is the answer but he is the coach for now. The players we got are all we have for now. Now we just have to decide if we plan to win or curl up and cry. I myself plan to root them to victory and if we lose, hopefully we lose fighting. I sure hope more people decide to quit crying and cheer them on also. We ask recruits from La to have pride in the state. How about we all have a little more pride in Louisiana and LSU.

We would probably only have one or two losses with Wisconsin’s schedule last season. Then again we lost to Troy so who knows.

if we had Wisconsin's players we'd have more losses than they did.

Great example.

When’s the last time Wisconsin won a national title?

Attitude is one of the many components to a winning recipe.

Unfortunately we lack much more than just attitude

Another key to beating big brother is you can't coach scared. The eagles won the Superbowl because they didn't let the patriots get in their heads and force them to go into a shell. They stayed aggressive and took calculated risks that paid off.

I am so fricking sick of the Alabama obsession of this board.

Wanna know what wins championships? It takes place in the administration buildings, and then the football ops buildings, and then the practice facilities and then the film room and then finally on the field on Saturdays.

How's your faith in what happens in the admin and ops buildings? That has precisely dick to do with Alabama.

You got some things right. The fans attitude has nothing to do with how many games the team wins btw.

But good talk.

You hit the nail on the head, what do we have to lose, have to take chances against Bama. Look what conservative has gotten us the last 6 times.

Attitude? LSU got that kick FG from 6" line attitude, and fan attitude is a symptom, not the disease.

Honestly beau, we would complain no matter who the coach is and fans at most schools do, maybe just not as much as us. If you need examples, look no further than our gymnastics, softball, and baseball teams. Baseball is national runner-up. Gymnastics is 2 time national runner-up. Softball has made the women’s CWS consistently the past few years. All these coaches get vilified when they lose and no credit when they win. As an up and coming coach or even a known coach, how often are you willing to go to a school with ALMOST no winning tradition (Championships like Oklahoma in football or UCLA in basketball) and such an entitled attitude. Look at Jimbo leaving FSU as an example. We ask for loyalty from coaches and even 17-18 year old kids but don’t give it ourselves.

King, 357, and power all get it. Ed O needs to be a leader if he wants to be the coach and when things get tough, stand up and have clear direction. We need more than attitude but it’s the building block to stand on. Teams that play to win instead of playing scared consistently succeed instead of getting lucky to hold on sometimes. Les was a paradox because he would go for it on 4th down 5 times or run a successful fake kick to beat a better team but then do nothing but run into a stacked line every down to lose to a team we should have beat. He had to go, not because he wasn’t a good coach but because he didn’t trust his team apparently as much as they trusted him.

I watched the last Bama game and it didn't look like LSU was scared at all. Their calculated risk never paid off. LSU pushed them around on both sides of the ball. Qb/wr's missed on several opportunities. Providing the qb/wr's makes a play or two we may have had a ball game. With all the criticisms that fly around on a daily basis. The glaring missed observation is execution on the field.

Look back at OBjr (possibly his freshman year) against the gaytors dude beats coverage and bobbles a perfect deep pass and then gifts it to the gaytor db. Play was not executed and that play arguably cost the game.

I was never completely sold on MC offense however he did wonders hiding DE decencies & had a solid game plan to beat Bama. LSU wr's were running wild and open like we haven't seen in years. They could not execute when provided the opportunity. Plenty of blame to go around just sayin.

1919, all I can say to that is it should! Axe, I am sorry if I upset you using that team in red as an example but they have the SEC and National Championships and if we want that, we have to go through them to get it. Next it might be Georgia, but first we have to get out of the SEC West to make it there. Btw, you are right about the facilities. Look back to when this golden age (I call it that because I still remember the 70s through 90s) of LSU football began and it was when we started improving our facilities and not settling for second rate. I probably better not mention who the coach that led that charge was. That’s the ONE thing I still like about that guy.

Many do have pride in LSU. That’s why there is so much outrage with alleva and orgeron. These guys are a real problem. Also it’s the coaches jobs to prepare and instill confidence in the players. If would be funny if O blamed fans for a loss bc they weren’t optimistic.

The problem is our head coach brags after losing by 2 touchdowns and talks shite after getting beat (again) on the recruiting trail. How's that for leadership bro?
