Can we get Anthony Jennings to tweet to us that he guarantees a trip to the national title game?

How many teams can lose all their seniors, juniors, and and return a mediocre qb and still be considered contenders? We had everyone last year and could not make a first down.

Actually, LSU had 242 first downs last year.

So...

Umm, yea, we were that bad and were still an eyelash from winning the national championship. I guess people are forgetting bama and a&m both lost significant contributors as well. For crying out loud, anyone realize a&m lost their best lineman on either side of the ball and their best wr.

TJG you are correct. Bama lost 2 first round picks off their o line plus Barrett the mouth. That's a lot to replace, in positions that cohesiveness is very important. But since little Nicky is a demigod, there have not even been any discussion of it.
LSU wins the west, not to worry buddy.

Seems logical. We lost a lot on defense.

Honestly if you throw these three teams in a bucket, I can envision scenarios where they finish in any order, but I think people are really glossing over the losses bama and a&m had.

We have to be realistic, that sounds about right. We lost a lot of guys and our conference schedule, especially UGA and FL from the East, is brutal. CAN we win the West? Sure we can, but many, many things have to fall our way.

Yes, and youth and inexperience, and quirky coaching intangibles at the top. For instance, it's hard to have confidence in a HC, regardless of his overall wins/losses, when at key moments, he produces games like the 1/9 debacle and the 1 point loss to Clemson.

I like the man, but I have trouble believing in his coaching skills.

I agree, but i really think that how well they play on offense to win the west will come down to CC being able to get them to respond to what he wants them to do and being able to do it in game time.

It's a low risk pick for these guys because they look at our schedule vs A&M and Bama's schedule and see that we have a big boy schedule.
