A great recruiter that needed great coordinators.

This is a debatable statement. A great recruiter brings in a class every year that includes positions of need. Orgeron recruits like he is trying to make fans happy by having as highly rated of a class as possible, but does not properly address team needs.

Moreover, he apparently cannot retain the players that are already on the team- that could certainly be considered a recruiting activity.

I’ll remember him the same way I remember Miles. Good guy, loved LSU, won us a Natty, then got stale.

Ed is a fraud and this season has shown it. He can’t right the ship because like his fat troll buddy Derek he falsified his credentials to pilot it

He was at least smart enough to let Brady do his thing and gave LSU at least one year without a dinosaur offense which led to 15-0 and the most impressive season of all time. No matter how bad the shite storm gets, he will always have that.

Championship, and it was worth it. He put something special together, but I don't think he can build from scratch which is where we are.

But i will forever be grateful for last season, it was the time of my life.

2019 will be like one day Paris Hilton accidentally cured cancer. Don't get how it happened but it's great.

Name a good Saban or Dabo team that didn’t have elite coordinators.

I’ll remember him as the coach that pulled all the stops and did whatever necessary to bring us the greatest football team ever. And then had no plan after that.

Locksley, Lupoi, Daboll, Nussmeier, and McElwain off my head aren’t elite.

Smart and Kiffin were elite. Maybe Pruitt and Sark.

He’s a good HC sure but he wasn’t an elite coordinator. Reminds me of Greg Schiano- decent coordinator, better HC.

Again, not saying he they are bad, but not “elite”.

Never wanted him to be Head Coach after the Hurricane debacle with Uof Florida when all should have been on the line and he crapped in the bed. Will give him credit for bringing on Joe Brady and Joe Burrow but other than that , he caught lightning in a bottle and was a one hit wonder and unfortunately brought us back down to the Curley Hallman years.

They're 2-2. He's a good recruiter but he's 8-42 as a coach.

My thoughts were mixed when he was hired, then every year thereafter we got better. Our record improved.

Then we get to last season and I'll always be grateful for all of that, no question.

However, I think a lot of that is because of his coordinators, not him. He's a great recruiter but I don't think he's a very good HC. He needs excellent, not good, but excellent coordinators to make him look good. And to be fair, he hires them (Not Aranda) but his coordinator hires have been shaky at best. He got one good one in Brady but that was brought to his attention by E, if I remember right.

The following season, while I expected a drop off, I don't think anyone expected to see this bad of a team. Not by a long shot. Goes back to what I said about O not being a good HC. His Pelini hire was terrible, that's shown this season. E needs to go back to being the TE coach or something.

O got my trust after last season but now, with the above, and all these opt outs, quitting, whatever term you choose to call it, it makes me very unsettled with the direction of this program. I also am concerned about recruits flipping.

I think O has a lot of pressure on him and a lot of it, in my opinion, he's done this to himself. It's like he got complacent after the natty and figured it would just roll over to the next season.

I am not calling for him to be fired but he needs to make some major changes soon and I also think someone, aka Woodward, should be involved in making those changes, not just approving how much someone's contract will be.
