-LSU lacks a big play threat, of course after losing Treydez.
-Leavitt is still a very talented athlete, but has a ways to go to improve as an around QB.
-Every loss and win is different; LSU is a couple of plays away from being 6-0. If they correct mistakes they have a chance to put themselves in a good position for the playoffs.
- LSUs 1st team D is pretty strong; their backups and 3rd string are average .
-Injuries (key injuries) are just hard to overcome.
-I think the toughest road games may be out of the way(Tenn is debatable) , so hoping the 2nd half of the season can be one where adjustments and lessons are learned.
-Baker is good and learning , but he is overpaid in certain situations.

**Id rather this staff and team from last year.**

I honestly thought Leavitt would look a little more polished from his experience starting at ASU, and making the playoffs. Just goes to show how mediocre Big 12 competition is compared to the SEC.

The lack of a run game and the weak play at guard can’t be overstated. It’s affecting everything on offense.

The only thing that has surprised me about Leavitt is the turnovers. He looks very similar to his ASU film though.

They have pretty much been able to run the football. However, yesterday they couldn’t do it for some reason.
Over 200 yards/game isn’t bad

OL average at best and DB's have been up and down. DC has been average. We are better than last year but far from being good.

We have not beat anyone worth a crap this year and until we beat a good team we are underperforming. Problem's will compound the longer the team goes without
beating a real top 10 team. The investment made requires you to beat some good teams, simply put.

our OL is not as dominant as we had originally hoped.

Our DL doesn’t generate a ton of pressure against decent OL without blitzing

Losing 2 difference makers hurt. Only so many of those on this team. We need more.

This is really well put.

We are solid but not a lot of spectacular players imo. Understandable with two months to put together a complete roster rebuild imo.

Can’t wait to see where Lane puts the priority with a full year to recruit and really identify where impact players can come in and improve the foundation he’s building now.

We will not have nearly the turnover we had to deal with post Kelly, so the money will go a lot farther year over year.

Agree, the quality of football is much better. Baker has really let us down in big moments. Coming into the season with all the new pieces and a totally rebuilt oline we were counting on this D to be the backbone and we’ve got major talent on that side, Baker just isn’t elite. On offense, like tonytiger says, those guards are killing us. Maybe we run Leavitt more to keep opponents honest and threaten the backside so we can run it better. Hopefully we get a couple key guys back and finish strong.
