A generational qb with so much grit and knowledge of the game

3rd & 5 read option in the 4th quarter in Bryant Denny for me. At that moment I knew we were finishing 15-0.

30,000 UGA fans attended that game just to see their team get steamrolled.

I was at the game as well and I just remember how fricking loud it was, when they tried
To pull the fake field goal in the south EZ and we destroyed that fricking play Amman it sounded like a jet taking off. That was a great football game to be at. Georgia fans thought for sure they were gonna kick our asses. Lol

Best game I've ever been to. Storming that field will stay with me forever.

Georgia had plenty of opportunities that game to get back into the game. Even early on in the 4th quarter. We were kicking field goals instead of scoring touchdowns. Both teams were extremely physical. We just pulled out in the end. Thats called grinding out a win. It was honestly probably the last typical, old school, grind it out, smashmouth type of game for LSU football. That one or the Auburn game in 2019

That play was fantastic, and its timing couldn't have better. Georgia was starting to make a run getting the game within 16-29 with a few minutes left. The Joe run and the TD on the next play provided a dagger that officially killed the beast.

Awesome wins in 2018 against Miami, AUB and UGA.
But how did we lose 29-0 to Bama?
I remember sitting on my couch, absolutely stunned, for an hour after the loss, expecting someone to say, “Just kidding, here’s the actual outcome of the game you have been anticipating the last two weeks.”

The 2018 Georgia game let me know what we had, we physically kicked the shite out of Georgia, that was a beating much worse than the score. LSU mauled UGA up front.

We freaking bitch slapped them and settled for multiple FGs in the second half. The score could have been much worse

In my eyes, this is the game Burrow and the team went from “good” to “great”. His command on the team elevated during this game.

Man I loved watching that dude play more than just about anyone I can remember. I know he's in the league but it's just not the same as watching him in purple and gold.

My favorite Joe play was the one he got DESTROYED on by that lineman in the UCF game. That play did something inside of him. For just a second it broke him, but what he put back together seconds later in his head led to the greatest offense and season QB performance in the history of college football.

Losing to Florida and then the *gasp* Aggies was much worse and more disheartening than the Bama blowout. Bama was thought to be unbeatable that year, and they were until they met Clemson.
LSU shouldn't have lost those other games. I was sick as a dog after the Aggy loss, and it wasn't just from the beefy bbq nachos from the concession stand

For me is was his scramble and deep throw to Jefferson against UGA in 2019 SECCG. He changed directions twice and juked the linemen and then threw a 50 yard dart to Jefferson. That play was incredible and sealed the Heisman for him (as if there was much doubt before).
