There is a couple of ways to look at it from an LSU perspective. LSU really hasn't played a complete game since the opener vs. USC. The defense really struggled @ South Carolina. The offense struggled for most of the game vs. Ole Miss (at least from a consistency) standpoint. LSU's only led for approximately 3 minutes, combined, in two SEC games. Yet they have found a way to win both.
On the one had you say LSU can't keep playing with that thing margin for error and expect to keep winning. A missed 4th down conversion vs. Ole Miss or a pick 6 not called back because of a dumb penalty and/or a made game tying FG vs. South Carolina and we could be having a VERY different discussion about this season.
On the other hand, Saturday vs. Ole Miss was the first time we've seen this offense struggle for most of the game. The odds are it won't happen again. Defensively, beginning in the 2nd half vs. UCLA, LSU's defense has started to gain some traction over the last 10 quarters. Thus, LSU COULD be rounding into a form where a complete game is on the horizon.

Ole Miss has a legit defense this year. Arkansas is not on their level.
If both teams were coming off a bye I’d say LSU by 17. But we’re coming off emotional win and Arky had a bye, so I think LSU by 3 in a tough game down to the wire.

If our ends rush hard up field we will susceptible to qb runs...i have to think we try to keep him in the pocket and force him to throw
You do know that their starting qb has a bone bruise in his knee, right?
LSU by 10.

This is Arkansas Super World Cup Series Bowl. That's all you need to know.

I’m sure the majority of the people putting money on Arky are banking on LSU having a let down game in a tough environment.
I thought Ole Miss was a let down game. Except for the heroics at the end, we really had a bad game, offensively. We couldn’t run the ball, Nuss was off, and I do mean off, forced throws, multiple pics…. I know there were some crazy good plays, that came in a timely fashion, but we weren’t ready to play at home, and Ole Miss kept us around till we woke up; they shot themselves in the foot so many times if I’m being honest. Hope we understand that and come out ready to smoke some hawgs…

Yeah I'm betting lsu -5.5... no way we don't win by more than two scores. Even if we start out flat.
I wouldn’t bet on that. I’ll be happy to get out of there with another three-point victory.

Green is playing but doesn't mean green is 100%. He will need to be with the way our front 7 has been playing and the improved play of or DB's.
Green is very much like Milroe when he was a new starter. Good runner and ability to extend plays. His ability to scramble opens up the deep ball which he throws pretty well. He is also very inconsistent with 56% completion and 5/5 TD/INT. Keep him in the pocket and he becomes very average.

I think we roll pretty well in this one.

Arkansas has a very good running back and Petrino is no slouch on play calling. Better believe they will dial up some misdirection runs that will throw us off. Lot of the D mistakes we've seen this year are over pursuing and leaving their gap responsibility. I could very well see us getting behind again and then their night crowd will get into it. Will be tough. Hell, it's tough during early day games there.
I think we win but something like 31-27 and I have more gray hairs because of it. My son will be there in his purple and gold with some college kids from A-State doing his part.

I wish we could dump Arkansas from our schedule and play a more traditional foe like Mississippi State. We've played Moo U 117 times (compared to 69 for Arkansas) and I hated to see that rivalry end.

This won’t be a hangover game imo. Ole Miss was a huge confidence builder and these dudes are proving to eachother they can play good ball.
I like us in this game and getting to the qb early and often.
I think it’ll be close til mid 3rd before we pull away and a 31-21 final score.

no they don't, and they aren't better than LSU. Could you win, it totally depends on the energy we come out with. If we come out with a lot of energy, you are toast. We won't know that though until the first series. Even if we don't come out fast, as long as we are in striking range at half, we will be good. For whatever reason, we are a second half team.

Arky runs the ball well. They key for us on D will be gap assignment and tackling. We haven't been consistent at either. Let's get right on those and we slaughter the piggys!
We have seen a LOT of improvement there over the last two games with Penn and Weeks playing together full-time.

I would love to see your gambling record on the year. Unless you’re just lying and not actually betting any of these games

Nussmeier is susceptible to this against any team. He made some remarkable throws last week, but he made some terrible decisions.
One reason he hasn't been sacked much is because he's gonna throw it. No matter what, he's gonna let it go, and it's not like he's going to throw it away. You sometimes just have to hold your breath and hope for the best. It's just who he is.

Nah, Friday after thanksgiving vs Arky brings back great memories and some absolute classics. Wish they'd never changed it.
