Arkansas had social justice word below FG pole. Is this the new normal in CFB?

I noticed Arkansas had a social justice word on their field right below their field goal post Saturday, which is the first I've seen this year. I'm not a racist by any means, but I am tired of seeing this crap all over the place. I just want to watch a college football game without hearing about anything else except college football.

It does appear that movement seems to have lost some momentum over the past few weeks, but didn't the NCAA implement something about this earlier this year? Please tell me that jerseys promoting social justice, 3-minute PSAs on the jumbotron and social justice words all over the field is not a permanent fixture in college football.

I still don’t understand why sports are involving politics. Nothing positive comes from it-get woke go broke

Young black people have taken the cheese that says the plight of black people is not due to irresponsible behavior, but is due to racism. They dominate athletics, so they can call the tune. They will continue to push this poison as long as we put up with it. If you are watching then quit complaining. YOU are the problem, now.

Part of Baton Rouge's settlement with Alton Sterling's family is LSU football's new midfield logo in Tiger Stadium is Alton Sterling's face.

Who cares? Most probably didn't even notice. It's a word.

The sad part is that instead of worrying if this will be the norm we should be wondering how to make sure that people feel like they’re treated equally. If everyone is equal, there’s no need to push for equality.

Even more so for some people these “political” issues aren’t political at all they’re a matter of human rights. You should know you’re extremely fortunate if you can think of them as political rather than a reality.

You can't make someone "feel" equal, regardless of the truth . Hell, we can't even get siblings in the same family to feel equal.

Being upset about the word on the field in a football game is dumb anyway.

Got a good laugh from the Utah players with "equality" on their nameplates

Yes they are. They can see that slowly this country is slipping away as a “white mans world” and becoming something much better. Old arse white men had their shot at running this country and failed miserably. Time to give someone else a shot.

That’s true in a way but the least a family can do is try. In this instance though it’s funny to see people get butt hurt about all this. It shows what little hardship they’ve had if they’re upset simply about words calling for justice for others

In a family, it really doesn't matter how hard you try. SOMEONE is going to feel like it isn't fair. It's human nature. There will always be injustice, regardless. My take is if you, personally, are doing the right thing, you have no problem with something like this. It's dumb. Disturbing in some ways, comically hypocritical in others. Hardship definitely plays a role.

Agreed. We should look to those global super powers on the continent of Africa for inspiration.
