Arkansas eliminating tennis

Which sports should LSU eliminate moving forward?
The mind set of we will just increase revenue to cover the new cost hurdle isn't working out.
Women's beach volleyball and tennis (men's/women's) is my vote on the 1st cut.
I can't imagine Arkansas being the only SEC athletic department that has to accept fiscal reality.

I have a feeling that Title 9 would like a word with your vote.

Swimming and Diving can go by the wayside.

We added beach volleyball less than 10 years ago and we had no issues with Title 9 before adding it as another non-revenue sport.
There are several paths to cutting costs and still fall w/n Title 9 guidelines, but you have to realize costs must be cut.
The TAF is no longer building facilities. There are raising NIL cash. Eventually all these nice facilities will need repair etc. Our athletic department is heading down an unsustainable path. Hopefully Verge can lead us thru it.
At least the new LSU Pres has some real finance skills.

Womens basketball no doubt. Biggest deficit, takes rev share, and NIL money. Get rid of that shite

There is no title 9 with biological men competing in biological women’s sports!

I would hate to see any lsu teams get eliminated.
I understand it may be necessary at some point, but it would be a shame.

Does the athletic department still give money to the academic side.
If so, that would be my first cut.

You have had plenty of post that suggest otherwise. Just saying.

Golf, Tennis, swimming & diving

I’d start cutting swimming and diving before I cut tennis.

I think we should bring back mens gymnastics, soccer and wrestling....
Let them all play, men and women!

Cut them at the same time!!! Maximum effect

Football, MBB, BB, WBB, Softball and Gymnastics are never going to be cut so the only realistic cuts would be from:
Men's golf $1,203,047
Women's Golf $1,305,670
Soccer $2,436,369)
Swimming & diving $3,227,688
Men's Tennis $1,266,619
Women's Tennis $1,327,040)
Track & Field $7,300,017
Beach Volleyball $1,434,043
Volleyball $2,550,879
That is total loses and the Revenue sharing aide would be less than 5% for all combined so not a huge amount for any one or 2 combined.
When you look at the total revenue generated by the AD with the increased SEC disbursement, sponsorships etc., I don't see LSU killing any sport off, I think if Lane(especially) and WW can get rolling LSU will be fine when you add in the donors. LSU is fortunate to be a strong Brand.
