Really not that bad of a half. Tigers still playing with some lineups they're not used to. Defense is solid. Fudge stepped up with a couple big 3's. Just need some momentum

NCAA rule book:
quote:

When an injured player is unable to attempt his free throw try(s), the
head coach from the opposing team shall select one of the four remaining
players on the playing court to attempt the free throw try(s).

That was the rule at one point. Did they change it?

Considering we got 13 points from our starting 5 including zero from Days- the fact that we’re leading is almost unbelievable.

Nah. It's like that in college too
quote:

When an injured player is unable to attempt his free throw try(s), the
head coach from the opposing team shall select one of the four remaining
players on the playing court to attempt the free throw try(s).
When the
foul is flagrant and the injured player is unable to attempt the free throw
try(s), the injured player’s head coach shall select any player or team
member to attempt the free throw try(s). When the injured player is
bleeding, his head coach may: 1) provide a substitute for the bleeding
player who will attempt the free throws, or 2) request a timeout and
attempt to remedy the blood situation.
If a stoppage of play occurs
because of an injured or bleeding player and becomes a media timeout, a
team timeout is not required to permit the player to remain in the game
if either the injury or blood situation is remedied by the end of the media
timeout.

I guess since his tooth was out and he was bleeding they let the Arkansas coach choose.

I guess the rule is like that because an injury can be faked but blood really can't. You can fake an injury to get out of a 50% FT shooter taking the shots. But if someone is bleeding then you're probably not trying to pull something over.

Fudge’s 9 points were huge for us. Considering the guys we have struggling to get a shot to drop.
