We need a vintage Shores performance right about now

Jeffrey Springs did exactly this in 2023 with TB when he injured his elbow. Opening and closing hands, rotating wrist, flexing forearm.
Yeah but what was his velocity and could he control the ball?

Could really use one of those 450 ft Bear Jones bombs

And most of the time their velocity is like 8 mph off not 3.
Tbf, his velocity was down slowly through the 5th then continued last inning where he was ultimately down 7 (96-89) on the last competitive pitch.

Yea unfortunate Shores has empty velocity on his fastball. His 99 is easier to hit than Kade’s 95.

Now we need to get their starter out

Can we take anything from the fact that he threw a few pitches before leaving. Surely if the staff thought it was elbow or nerve related they wouldn't have allowed him to throw again right or is this just a hopeful reach?

I think it’s this.

Anderson should have never been out there this inning. Terrible management decision
You should have ended up on a forehead yet you are here.

Need to make Root work this inning, get his pitch count up.

Meh. He’s easily handled this much of a pitching load all season, even on one day less rest.

Yeah that seems correct

Last week Shores nearly decapitated someone with one of his pitches was like 10 ft off the plate. It was so far off the plate he almost threw a strike because it almost hit the bat on the guy's shoulder.

Yeah but it doesn’t seem like it’s slowly down. When it snaps it’s down pretty immediately.

That’s definitely not a change up Ben

Jones looking silly against the off speed. Good grief.

I swear that’s Scottie Scheffler pitching. Is there nothing this guy can’t do?
