Evans ain’t it as a starter. Way to many pitches per inning

Well, that's just dumb. He's a freshman going up against one of the best lineups in the SEC.

3 runs from a call that was way closer to being on the outside of the plate than some of these ankle strikes he’s called strikes
then maybe Evans should throw low strikes and stop throwing them up over the middle of the plate to the best hitting team in the SEC.

His problem is his 0-2 ‘waste’ pitches are completely non competitive.

I don’t think it was a strike

We’ll just disagree on that, but my issue is with increasingly shitty officiating across all SEC sports. It’s almost as if it’s intentional so they can put their thumb on the scale when they need to.

Every hit has been and elevated pitch. All he needs to do is correct that.

Thanks for letting the board know you’re a dumbass and to never take you seriously ever again.

Based on his pitch counts through 3 innings in the last two games, this could be the case. At least as a freshman.

The issue is who to you put in the Sunday starter role if it’s not Evans? Maybe Noot, but it’s a little shaky after that.

I still say Evans looks more comfortable coming out of the pen. He was an absolute killer in that role.

Who would you bring in in the 3rd inning? We went to the bullpen last night in a 12-0 game in the 7th and had trouble getting out of the 7th inning and had to bat again in the bottom of the inning.

Asking our bullpen (with Cowan already throwing 40 pitches on Friday) to get over 18 outs is a tough ask.

In the 3rd?
have you been watching Evans pitch today? He clearly didn't have his normal dominate stuff.

He's not giving him the low strikes in case you haven't noticed the few that have been strikes

He clearly doesn't like his slider.
