I thought that was pretty silly as well.
The Transfer Portal should be worried that Arik won’t honor his verbal commitment to it.
*If the kid feels that he needs to get closer to home following this weird year for his mental health, I’m all for it. No reason for him to be unhappy. Just an obvious joke to make, and he will understandably, and perhaps deservedly, get “quitter” criticism.

I have read here that he is sick. I hope he gets better soon closer to home. He did a good job while he played for LSU and I think he will do a great for whatever team that is able to convince him to play. His announcement not to play though, was at a critical time for LSU in its schedule and added a lot of negative attention to the program and coaches as does his decision here just hours before several kids decide where they will attend school. Not sure if this is a coincidence or if he has other motives.
