One batter in midweek. Pop up in foul territory. One batter yesterday. Pop up in foul territory.

2 batters all week.

To get back to the point of the thread:

3-4-5 should be Bregs, Hale, Scivicque.

Chinea should be 6th at best. Probably 7th so you can get a lefty (Stevenson) in there.

8th at best. Foster at 7. Then Danny at 9.

Fraley LF
Laird RF
Bregman SS
Hale 3B
Scivicque C
Stevenson CF
Foster 2B
Chinea DH
Zardon 1B

He should be 8th and Zardon 9th. There is no justification to put him any higher. None.

Out of 10 players:
9th in OPS
7th in OB% (one player he's higher than is Fraley and he's not going to hit above him)
9th in Total Bases
7th in AVG
9th in slugging
7th in doubles

It's pretty good. It separates our two slow runners nicely and mixes in two fast runners in between them.

It's definitely how i would go for now. If Fraley continues to slide he may need to come out of the leadoff spot but i expect him to bounce back.

That's the best lineup for sure. Kade deserves the DH on Sunday's if Mainieri wants Paps to play behind the plate to give him a rest. This is when you pull chinea.

My next question... Maybe for a new thread. Who's our second closer when we need one on a second night? Person? Bugg? AC?

Right now Person has the best stats and he looks the part too when i watch him.

Person has the most IP among relievers so his stats actually carry a little more weight unlikely Newman.

3rd in ERA at .82. Newman and Strall have a 0.00 ERA still.
2nd in WHIP at .64
1st in BAA at .056

People just aren't getting on base against Person so i would go with him among those 3.

Bugg has really good stats too though.

Has he thrown on back to back nights yet? He's been a great setup. Can he setup then close? That would be my only worry.

I really don't know how often anyone has thrown on back to back nights outside of stallings.

I like Bugg. AC seems a little too emotional but, maybe that's a good thing?

That's probably our best lineup right now.

I'd trust any of those 3 right now. One thing I wish this team had right now is one more decent lefty in the pen.
