I'd be lying if I said this didn't impress me
watch jefferson throw 4 td's against vandy and no interceptions and the same couple of posters bitch about the way he runs or his form throwing.
i'm telling you man, if JJ keeps putting up good/solid stats, it's going to happen with that group of morons.

I just want the QB to do well. I'm sitting this year's QB controversy out.

in most rational fans minds, there is no QB controversy.

Key word
Meaning, for most fans, there is always going to be a QB controversy.

that's funny, I don't remember you being critical of lee...
I defended JLee because of the booing and transfer talk. When he gets his chance this yr, we'll see if he's a big boy now, because he's on his own.
Then ask me if I'm more or less comfortable with JLee

What fanbase is so anxious for something to happen to their starting QB that is playing well so that they can see if the backup that had a very rough season the year before has improved?
Only at LSU.
Only at LSU.

I want JJ to end up All SEC if possible.
Being "less comfortable" is not a statement of desire that he end up sucking.
1 game was too little to tell but it did make me LESS comfortable.

Which made you more "LESS comfortable":
The win, the 3 TD's, the 50 yds or so rushing, or the no ints?

This isn't a question of how JJ played in and of itself.
It's a question of how he played IN RELATION to the expectations one had for him.
You could a a HUGE JJ fan and could have expected him to throw 5 TDs.
It would be safe to say this person would be LESS comfortable because of his unrealistic expectations.

Several things that someone who simply regurgitates a stat line probably would not comprehend.
In any case, I am not saying he wont have a great year. College QBs are notorious for developing rapidly as the season progresses. But, since I'm not psychic, this particular game left some glaring questions.

As in delusional expectations?

What you say is true and each to our own, but what reasonable minded person would have had greater expectations of a 19 yr QB starting his 3rd game than for him to pass for 3 TDs, rush for 50 yds, and have no ints.....and btw, on the road in front of a vocal crowd????

Perhaps, but to this point in time you still haven't told me what greater expectations you had for the guy.
If you had expressed your questions bout his ability, I might not have bored you with my "simply regurgitates a stat line."
I see a 19 yr old guy just starting his college playing career who appears to have some real talent/skills. He moves he feet well, throws on the run pretty good, doesn't seem to be too effected by the pressure of the game, and hasn't in his few games made fatal mistakes.
You are right in that we haven't seen enough to this point in time too truly asset his ability, but so far I like what I see and I'm more comfortable with him and his stats.
