Are you in favor of messing with the lineup moving forward?

Or are you in favor of “dance with the one you brought”?

On one hand we have accomplished just about all the goals we set forth before the season - a super seed. But I read the batting stats for SEC play thread. I tend to let it roll.

But the Pearson/Brown vs lefties has me on pause. Jay has played around with that decision.

Curiel LF
Jones 1B
Brown RF
Dickinson 2B
Frey DH
Stanfield CF
Milam SS
Hernandez C
Braswell 3B

Pearson/Larson/Beck situational lefties.

Not much change here other than moving Stanfield up in the order. He gets on base.

Not the pitching rotation and the batting order has had some flux

Start Pearson against anybody. It’s his time of the year now.

Frey that low? I thought we were at our best when we flipped the lineup and threw out Stanny/Curiel/Dick in order.

I have no stats to back that up but it felt good that all three could either triple or lay down a bunt.

Dumb as usual. Stanfield is fine where he’s at

This would take the leadoff pressure off Curiel and move Jones down one due to his inconsistency. Both Brown (vs righties) and Pearson have been better lately.

Dickinson 2B
Brown/Pearson RF
Jones 1B
Frey DH
Curiel LF
Braswell 3B
Milam SS
Hernandez C
Stanfield CF

to clarify, I meant start Pearson over brown against lefty. its not his ba against lefties that's the major concern, its the fact that he's not close against them.

plus pearsons been good lately compared to others

This part of the lineup has to get better for us to have any chance of winning a natty

bullshite. Maybe 2 weeks ago. He had one of the best individual offensive days we’ve seen in 2 years in G3 vs UT.

I am in favor of hit the ball, hit first pitch, second or third pitch, batting practice , mental attitude adjustment, hit the ball....,
If the approach to batting does not change we are not going very far. This team can hit, but can the coaches coach at bat?

Exactly. They can’t be average 1 hit a game between the three.

Go back to the hitting lineup used early in the season. Watching Bear K in the 2nd slot is just stupid.
Play conventional baseball lineup that has been around 100+ years.
Play Pearson and PH Brown in the right situation for someone other than Pearson.

Pop ups and K's don't move baserunners. Somebody coach them up. This is stupid ridiculous baseball we have been watching lately.
