It will never be dominant until it can play for 4 qtrs, not just 2.

His halftime adjustments have been stellar so far. Just needs the players and depth

Yes, it will be dominate. How about we let him recruit in the defensive guys he’s looking for. His first season was pretty damn good with the injuries we had on D alone. He made adjustments, give him some damn time for god sakes!

With Mason Smith back and 85 scholarship players I expect our defense to be better.

I can’t imagine any coach coming in with a lm entire new secondary of transfers and then losing your best player game 1 and being “dominant”. And your next best player is a true freshman

Let’s give him a full season and time to get some guys in

I thought he did well with a pieced together defense

Yes, but won't know this:
House’s Defenses Will Be Dominant

Until we have this:

Let him get some players first

He had average LBs and CBs

I am, his half time adjustments in many games were high level. You hardly see Kiffin get goose egged in a second half and he did it. Needs more players, LSU didn’t even have top level CB’s this year. If you want to find criticism of House, I do think he needs his defenses to start faster.

Have to eventually be able to get elite talent at all levels of the defense out of HS. Too many holes in HS recruiting on that side of the ball the last two years.

Seems to me that his success was highly dependent on how well Perkins was doing in any particular game. When A&M took out Perkins the defense got exposed.

He needs depth in order to reach dominance.

LSU will be better next season defense but still needs to develop depth at every level on defense to reach dominance

Agree. Lack of depth really started to show in the final weeks of season. Build on what we had and will be fun to see how it unfolds.

Based on what he has accomplished with a makeshift defensive secondary and lack of depth, hell yes I’m confident they can be dominant with building through the portal and recruiting efforts.
