White/purple/white is the best next to our traditional look, and it really looks clean and sharp.
I'm not a fan of gold/purple/gold, and for whatever reason the team usually plays bad football wearing that combo.

It wouldn’t matter if the winged god of victory himself, Nike, was adorning our uniforms form Olympus; we will only average 2.1 yds per rush from scrimmage at best.

I'd actually be curious about an All purple. Something like the Vikings purple-purples

Same. And I think it's because I mentally link them to non-competitive cupcake OOC games. Think about it, we wear them for non-opener OOC games, most of which are not marquis Matchups which are usually neutral site these days. And when we do host a bigger name OOC opponent at Tiger Stadium, they end up bucking the uniform guidelines and going for the classic LSU look
Off the top of my head West Virginia and Syracuse we wore white on gold where the usual guidelines would be purple jerseys.

Freaking curse of the damn purple jerseys. Can’t believe we are pulling these out for this game. We need a decisive win and this almost certainly means we struggle or worse.

Like the purple jerseys and like them even more with gold helmets and gold pants. We’re LSU. We need 1 helmet and 1 pair of pants. That’s it.
I like that we occasionally wear purple jerseys at home. The ‘86 and ‘88 SEC champs wore purple jerseys at home. Nothing wrong with it.

I don’t think they will ever do that. That look is closely associated with other programs like TCU, NW and maybe UW. Maybe as a one-off, but it’s further from the brand than most other possible uniform combos

I'm not fond of the gold/purple/gold combo because I mentally link them to the Archer/Hallman era of consistent losing football, and forced compliance by the NCAA. And it's true: LSU has historically (since at least the early 1960s) played its worst football wearing that uniform.

Stick with our same striping pattern on the jerseys, and piping pattern on the pants, and you can combine the three colors any way you want and it’ll look clean.
