In the early 80's my friends and I scored some LSU student ID's for $20 at a place allegedly called Scarlet O'Horror's, in a room behind the bar. Or at a bar that had a name, anyway. We got in for free for LSU basketball in an amazing time for it. And LSU football was a whole lot of fun.
But modern times are so much better.

My 85" TV was $1000 and will last for 10 seasons.

Half of that is fees. The fees on secondary market tickets are way too high. They price me out on alot.

Right. Last two years were like $120 and $140 ish respectively for the season. Also changes this year students can’t sell or transfer to whoever. They go back to ticket office and the ticket office will sell them, then the student gets reimbursed for that face value.

I list mine in sec 300 high. Not as high as your post is stating but higher than normal.
Would I pay that? Not a chance.
However, if someone pays it. I enjoy the money and watch the game at home. If no one pays it, I go enjoy the game in person. Pretty simple my man.

Whom, exactly, is catering to the rich? These tickets are posted by a private seller. They just want to get the maximum return possible for what they see as a premium offering. You would absolutely do the same.
There are rich people whom are die-hard fans. There are poor people who would leave after the first quarter.
This whole mantra is lazy. Is it true sometimes? Yep.
It's also a vast over-generalization and weak as Hell.
Do I think $1,000 is too steep? Yes. Will I pay that? No.
It doesn't mean "they" are trying to keep poor people down.
Everything is expensive these days.
