We’re only talking about Reed because the mcmen have created a false evaluation around him. In reality he signifies failure not development.

lol well I had to pick someone to be fair! Not like there was a list of 20,10 or even 5 to choose from

To make a difference you need difference makers and once again we end up with a whole bunch of role players. Sadly, none of which put up any kind of big time, needle moving numbers at lower levels. It would be foolish to expect big things or big results with the team we will put on the court next year.

Do we have to clarify development for people who are intentionally distorting facts? As if posting information is going to change their minds all of the sudden. Look at the past groups, 2 non ranked players developed into NBA guys, a player ranked in the 40 vastly outperforming that spot, a 5*, top 15 player who outperformed his ranking, multiple guys ranked in the 80s and 90s who performed like 4 and 5* players. Under McMahon… a 5*, Ward, way underperformed, 4*s Reed, underperformed, 3 others ranked 50-65, all vastly underperformed. How is he developing anyone?

So here is my take on development. The idea of having a player for 3 years and developing him is all but almost dead. Yes it still happens. I think now when we mention developing, it should be how far he’s grown from the beginning of the season till the end. And by this standard, if you choose to look at it this way, Mcman has gets a F.

He has won ncaa tourney games...you can't hide talent

Well he’s our 2nd rated recruit of the McMahon era and by far McMahon’s favorite player yet in year one, he went from starter to backing up Derek Fountain, year 2 he went from starting to fighting for minutes with Fountain and Hunter Dean. Year 3 he started off ok but got hurt and the replacement actually performed better than he did the during previous SEC seasons.

Rob Miller got far better as the season went on last year

Good grief. How much does Woodward pay per post?

Completely agree. Just look at the season finale game (A&M) and the SEC tournament embarrassment against Moo State. Games at the end of the season that were blowouts and where the players looked like they were playing together for the first time…..in mid March. That’s what we mean when we say lack of development.
Go watch McMahon’s presser after the SEC tournament loss. He blamed the league getting stronger and injuries for the season we had. We have so many issues within this program.

Perhaps but your previous putdowns are of the players, just because they come from smaller conferences or are internaional.

Alt26 is one of the most dedicated and informative fans for LSU MBB.
You should be ashamed. You wish him death? Go KILL yourself. WTF saying hope he's close to death.
That is not right at all.

But your opponents and teammates were thinking it.

but we seem to be adding mid major players who were decent contributors ….but not ones who were first team all conference or All American types.
Why would any first team or all conference players, much less AA caliber players, transfer to play for LSU at this time?

That poster is a POS
Alt26 is a solid LSU MBB poster and doesn’t deserve that shite. I don’t like people railing on known fans that weather the ups and downs.
