Are people really content with last night's result

Reading this board and listening to the call-in shows, you'd think we had won.

Has Alabama really become so much of an abusive dad to us that we're happy with a 14 point loss?

You’re right. It’s a very complacent fan base right now. They think our program is successful if we finish in the top 25 and a bowl game. Man how things have changed.

Stop with this narrative. No one is happy about losing. However, many are optimistic about the future of the LSU football program. After the loss to Troy it seemed that LSU would be struggling to get to a bowl game. 3 SEC wins, one against top 10 Auburn, and the possibility of going 10-3 has everyone feeling good right now.

After losing to Troy no one really expected to even be competitive with Alabama. LSU gave Alabama all it could handle on both lines and it certainly had a different feel than the last 3-4 LSU - Alabama games.

This is a hilarious collection of words right here.

Yes, we're all happy with losing to Bama. If we say we're all very unhappy, we will certainly beat them next year.

They played hard, were more physical than Bama, but lost due to a few plays their QB made and some plays that our QB didn't make. Just not tons to bitch about other than losing to them again and not having a good passing game.

Even if we had re-hired Saban as head coach we were not going to win this game in his first year. Losing sucks but I think people are feeling good because it is the first time in years that we showed any life on offense. It might be a sign of beating them...one day. With Miles there was no hope.

No, nobody is content, but at the same time people are realistic.

We were 22 point dogs. It’s not always as blacks and white as a W or an L. Sometimes there some positives to take away, even in losses. I think everyone is pleasantly surprised we played as well as we did, is that so bad or irrational?

What should I do if I'm not "content"?

So because we didn't get beat as bad as Vegas expected, it's a positive.

Is this really the spin we're going with right now?

Is it? Going from losing to Troy to giving Alabama all they can handle and beating 3 SEC teams in a row.

The culture has changed. The program is trending up despite the way you feel.

Did you really expect LSU to beat Alabama? Did you expect them to beat Florida, Auburn and Ole Miss after losing to Troy?

The sky isn't falling. This wasn't a brutal beatdown despite how you feel.

Goal posts are constantly moving with the fan base. O is getting more leniency than any coach I can remember

It is about how LSU played with less talent. They showed they can compete with any top 5 team.

For fricks sake, last night wasn't even the closest SEC game Alabama played in this season.

How so? We're still beating the teams we usually beat with Miles and losing the teams we usually lost to with him.

They lost by 2 TDs and were never in control, how did they prove they can play with a top 5 team?

And just like that 10-3 is now acceptable. Welcome back 1970s

A loss, but doesn't mean because my expectations were met that I'm happy.
