Aranda wants to be a NFL DC. He isn't going to leave for fricking Rutgers

He isn't going to Rutgers. But if we lose an assistant to a head coaching job, it is what it is. It's the natural order of things.

Are you suggesting you’ve never said DA should be our next HC?
Posted on 9/29/19 at 3:56 pm to Buckeye Jeaux
I don’t know that he wants to be a HC is all I’m saying

He needs to look at Kirby and be patient

If he leaves for that shite show good luck to him. I get promotions but that one isn’t the amswer

I think Aranda is smarter than that. Ray Rice isn’t coming through that door. That job is career suicide.

I think he should be, for a number of reasons. But what I think should happen and what will happen are two different things.
I don't know how that translates to me having him at HCIW.

Well no shite...what are your reasons his first HC job should be LSU?

CFB REQUIRES recruiting as the top skill. Aranda shows very little orientation towards that skill set.
I think NFL DC is the more likely risk, and that is an unlikely jump as well, unless he raises his teams D very significantly from here on out.

Uhh, he's really smart, really good at his job.
Also he's 43, so best case scenario you'll get 20+ years out of him.

Rutgers is a shite job. He can do better.

Coach O circumstance was more the exception than the rule. Very rarely does someone with poor performance as a head coach or someone with zero experience at head coach gets a job at a top 10 national program.

If I was Coach O, I would strongly suggest to Aranda that we go back to the 4-3 or at least the 4-2-5

I would think any position at LSU is better than HC at Rutgers
