Correct. If Etling is making some of those passes or checking down to open receivers, I honestly believe the play calling changes. This is why he was pulled at the end, really didn't matter who was playing QB at that point.

You think his defense is good now with a makeshift NG wait until we are (2) and (3) deep with a real NG to go with these athletic DEs. These recruits have to see that with their help LSU will get over this hump. We out played bama in most areas, except big plays, TOs, STs, and penalty yardage.

If we can land 2 big time WRs who are polished and big, we will be a better offense. We can also use some more OLman like our young guys we have now. Those guys are the most physical and well rounded lineman we've had since Saban was here IMO. It looks like O has just as good of an eye for talent as Saban did. Keep stacking the lines, Aranda keep bringing in his type of LBers, and we land these bad arse DBs in this years class and LSU will be back where we belong.

Brennan will be very good once the game slows down for him. Then if LSU can somehow convince the sophomore class to stay their senior year, and it's the 2016 class junior year, 2018 sophomore, and we land some stud 2019 guys who can play right away, that will be the year we can go undefeated. It will still be hard to do it next year but they can do something special even next year if they progress faster than in the past. It's obvious to me that we are improving as a team though and that's great to see.

I appreciate Danny Etling's toughness but Etling hurt LSU last night, he was LSU's weakest link, no getting around that. Question now, what happens going forward, who do we prepare for next year at QB?

Well done, you’ve made the jump from “NextYearU” to “InTwoYearsU”.

Not sure how you can say we have a solid offensive philosophy. We matched a lethargic and beatable Alabama team in yards but not points, our coaches coached to “not lose”. Our players came out ready to play, but the play calling was plain atrocious in the second half. I thought the players did fine considering they were bottled up the whole game by both Alabama and our shithead coach.

what an asshat. and a blind one to boot.

Shelvin is at NG but Breiden is at DE.

I heard Shelvin is a beast and has been unstoppable at practice. Let’s hope he keeps his grades up and can be eligible next year.

All I know is this, Aranda made that statement to the media emphatically, and Aranda is the Boss of the Defense, unquestionably.

I would say, "wrong", but you seem to be in the know on most things. Breiden's body type screams end, but all the talk from camp was that he was playing the nose, and that quote from Aranda seems like he's at least working both.

Etling knew his play and turnovers would be the key to LSU winning or losing. He knows who cost LSU a victory.
