I know Wilcox is there but I could see him at a place like Cal.

You don’t pay no more than 2.5 million. That would be ridiculous. Especially not for the product he produced this year. If he wants to go commit career suicide at UNLV for 2 times less money than all power to him I guess

I would imagine Bill Busch would get the job if Aranda left.
No.

CSU was the stepping stone for McElwain to get the UF job.
McElwain wasn’t already making 2million+ as a coordinator.
The most he will get as a head coach at either of those jobs is maybe 1million/year. It’s hard to step away from an extra 1.5million/year

If Aranda is a dumbarse and leaves then what choice do we have?

Idiots like you on here and twitter can take some blame if he leaves, he might feel his stock is declining with all the negativity all season.

So you’d up his pay more than 2.5 million to keep him from a team that’s gonna pay him 900k? Is he worth that? Come on bro your better than that

I i feel like Orgeron would promote Raymond or Bill Busch idk why that’s just me. Or he would call up Clancy Pendergast

Don’t rule out other playoff teams leaking info to give them any edge they can. If Aranda doesn’t come out and squash it though it could be something.

That would be a bad move for Aranda for either of those programs.
He ought to look at NFL DC jobs and then come back down to be a HC in college at a bigger school.
UNLV is intriguing though once they start playing in that new stadium.
For someone like Aranda you have to know when to strike and make sure your stock is highest. Did he wait too long?
LSU will be fine, Chavis was successful at LSU. LSU can make a lot of coaches look good.
Saban wasn't on many radars until success at LSU.

Ah, Lester.
At what point in my post did I prop up the quality of the program from a W/L perspective? I did not.
What I said was, both institutions (UNLV included) were putting money into the program unlike years prior. UNLV will be a benefactor of the Raiders moving to Vegas, given that they will play their home games (at least for now) in that bad arse new stadium. In addition, the Fertitta family (that Fertitta family) gifted $10m to the school in 2018 for new athletic facilities, etc. You wouldn't think that a gift of that nature may divert funds into other areas? Say, an increase in HC salary to pull in better coaches? I'll make it a little more clear for you. The UNLV donors appear to be committed to winning football games now. Making it a good job.
Not to mention, Bishop Gorman is down the street, Los Angeles is what, a 45 minute drive? USC and UCLA aren't in the best of spots.
But, again, as I said in the last post that you didn't read, UNLV appears to have their sites set on the Oregon OC.

I understand he wants to be a HC, but it would surprise me if he’s successful as a HC just based on his personality.
This is outdated thinking. What personality type is needed for a HC to be successful besides being able to communicate and delegate effectively. Tony Dungy is a perfect example of high integrity mild mannered coach who commanded the respect of all time greats.

Meh. Only Arky and everyone is laughing at them.
Ole Piss, Mizzou, FSU hired current HCs from Group of 5
Washington promoted from within in what looked like an unofficial HC in waiting situation
Rutgers hired their former HC back
