Baseball is second in the state to UL. Softball has lost every game to UL in the history of the new stadium. UL basketball is the only team from Louisiana to be in the tournament.

Thank God for Football!

You really shouldn't take midweek games so seriously. Also, i like LSU basketball's chances to win the Sun Belt tournament. Softball is the only legit concern because the Cajuns have beat us there in the post season.

And this is why we Cajun fans like to sometimes mess with our LSU bretheren lol

All joking aside, LSU has 6 national championships in baseball and is competing for a spot in Omaha year in and year out. Not to mention, LSU basketball has gone to the Final Four a few times as well. And your softball program is still respectable. You're also in the SEC.

Why on Earth are you worried about what little ole ULALA is doing? You can't ALWAYS win everything. Let us have our little moment to shine here.

We haven't had much in-state competition for a while, thank god for ULL. Hell y'all are making impressive strides in football too. Only thing holding y'all back in football is that shitfest of a conference, need to jump ship next time the opportunity comes around.

OP is just a troll, or an idiot.

Wish Cajuns all the best. You're not ready to make even the smallest challenge for best in the state. Everyone on all of your teams would leave your school if LSU offered them a scholarship.

Don't act like idiots and we'll cheer for you.

Thank you, sir.

We have a scrappy bunch of guys who don't quit.

And best of luck to the Tigers against SF tomorrow night.

As of Monday they are averaged as the #6 team, LSU at #7.

Midweek games need to be taken seriously. In 2012 LSU was a number seven national seed. LSU went through the 2012 season undefeated in midweek games. Had we lost a couple or more we might not have been a national seed that year.

It really boils down to that. I try to root for all in-state teams, with a little bias to McNeese, but sometimes the fanbase makes it really hard. I guess the obnoxiousness comes with the territory of being a large enough fanbase to have the online jackoffs be heard. It's why we hate Alabama and root for Vandy (maybe not in baseball).

This. Even though they're only midweek games, losing to lower ranked in-state tea can put a damper on the ole rpi. Granted, LSU's SEC schedule gives a huge boost. But losing midweek games definitely don't help.
