I don't recall any Mauck dick-sucking prior to 2003. So sure, why not?

I don't mean to overly lionize Mauck or rip on JJ, but my answer is an emphatic "no."

In 2003 MM was 229/358 (64%) for 2825 yards, 28 TD's/14 INT's. He averaged 201 yards per game and had a rating of 148.2. In nearly 600 CAREER attempts, JJ has thrown for, you guessed it, 28 TD's. MM was, quite simply, a better passer than JJ, and I would be very pleasantly surprised to get that kind of production from JJ. Heck, JJ struggles to hit 100 yards per game! Now, if JJ could up his passing numbers to get in this neighborhood and take better care of the ball than MM did, I think we can do really well but I don't see him being a MM "type" QB.

he def shite the bed vs. UF and OU. but if you play shitty early and make game winning TD passes like he did against UGA and Ole Miss, I tend to forgive (like I did for JR and Flynn).

we wouldn't have needed the UGA pass if he didn't give them the ball back when we were putting the game away.

Against Ole Miss, he gave them more points than our defense did.

I'll bet anything he'll be more like a Peyton Manning type QB next year.

Mauck was a much better passer and made better decisions.
And he was totally immersed in the game and not worried about "me, me, me". He was unselfish to a fault. JJ is worried about "what's in it for me". An insecure narcissist, IMHO.

Matt Flynn might be a more accurate comparison. Depends on his supporting cast. QB is always gets too much credit/blame.

About as much chance as Obama inviting Limbaugh over for an ACORN reunion BBQ.
