but if you play shitty early and make game winning TD passes like he did against UGA and Ole Miss, I tend to forgive (like I did for JR and Flynn).
finally some perspective and rationality.

It's like people forgot every game but the Cotton Bowl. (10-18 still isn't stellar). JJ just doesn't have it, period. I wish he did, but he don't.

Matt Flynn might be a more accurate comparison. Depends on his supporting cast. QB is always gets too much credit/blame.
I wish! A record offensive performance next season would probably mean another national championship.

Mauck used to run well. JJ can run well.

JJ is possibly the worst qb in the history of major college football, and no im not joking, and yes the numbers back that up.
he's terrible, at everything, except running during broken plays (usually because the field is wide open and he can run in a straight line).
so, no, he wont be Mauck.

and hitting really talented and wide open wide receivers like Randle on long post routes or long streak routes, like Mauck used to do with Skyler and Devery and Mike Clayton.

I don't know how people can justify still having hope for JJ after watching him play the past few years

Uh, no. JJ will never be accused of looking like Matt Damon the way Flynn was...
