Anyone else think back to the team when Will Harris was young that went to CWS in 03-04?

C: Matt Liuzza
1B: Clay Harris
2B: Blake Gill
SS: Aaron Hill
3B: Will Harris
OF: Ryan Patterson
OF: Jon Zeringue
OF: J.C. Holt
DH: Stavinoha (spelling is off, its been so long)

Regardless, This team back in the day was pretty darn good and it's crazy to believe back in the day that Will Harris would be a key element to a world series run by the Astros AT PITCHER...

We are giving a lot of credit to Bregman which is god damn well reserved, but lets give some love to Will Harris.

Good job Will

I corrected it. My mistake. Dude had that huge double against Miami to start off the world series down the left field line I remember. And then everything went bad after. Can't believe I left him off for a second

But I know El is always there to back us up

Some hitters in that lineup. Patterson is underrated in LSU baseball history.

Absolutely! He was a great player on a stacked team. He was also the best hitter on that awesome NCAA baseball game that was the last they made for the old systems back in the day.

Omg yes he and Stavinoha were the best 1-2 punch in that game. LSU wasn’t one of the better teams overall but the middle of their lineup made up for everything els the lacked. What a great game that was.

Overall, our hitting was great that year. Pitching was awful...

I think I remember Bo Petit having a blister on his throwing hand and having a horrible game...

Will Harris had a 3 run homer in the 9th to ice game 2 of the 2004 Super Regional against A&M after it had been a 0-0 duel the whole game.

was it?

It was so long ago that I dont remember if it was game 1 or game 2. I say this because we lost 9-5 game 1 (the game we are talking about (Miami)) and then lost game two 14-5, I think against either CSF or UCF. One of those teams.

My bad madking, that went right over my head...

yeah stavinoha was a stud in that game as well. I think he and patterson had nothing but red boxes in their strike zone as far as hitting. That team was deadly on the game. Them and Florida.

LSU had the only team with 2 guys who were 99 in power plus Harris had a stick too. Yea Florida was good Texas was too then you had teams like Oregon State with Ellsbury Arizona State had Pedroia and Nebraska with Jaba Chamberlin and Alex Gordon who was the best all around hitter on the game. I have a friend who still brings that game to the camp for hunting season.

How many games did he actually pitch for us? I remember using him his senior year a little but not as a rotational guy.

good question. I personally dont remember him pitching at all, but I think he did. I remember when i first heard he got to the majors as a pitcher I was very confused.
