Anyone else starting to think it's weird how much Ohio St. loves Joe Burrow?

It's honestly getting creepy as f. Every morning for the past 4 weeks I've woken up with a notification on my phone talking about how some OSU student organization is obsessing over him. The loudest cheer I've ever hear from JerryWorld was when they showed the Auburn game on the big screen. People were absolutely losing it. Now you have the student section making posters about him? Like it's been 3-4 months, calm down.
Would we be obsessing over Miles Brennan if had transferred to another school? Would we be making posters about him in our student section? It's getting bizarre as hell haha.
P.s. I think he's playing very well nothing against him. OSU fanbase is just weird as hell.

I like how they support their Student Athletes and it can do nothing but help us (especially by increasing our exposure up there)

I don't know, if Lee would have transferred I would have still followed his college career just because I always felt Miles screwed him. Maybe some feel Joe should have started at Ohio State.

Depends on who beat him out.
I mean if we are being honest with ourselves if you compare who Dwayne Haskins to Joe Burrow it is clear as ice water Urban chose the right starter.

I can say, speaking on behalf of many Ohio State fans, that Joe Burrow is followed so closely because Joe Burrow was a local high school legend. His high school career was sensationalized here in the Buckeye State. Many fans STILL believe he should have earned the starting job over Haskins. I think its just the local kid thing that's driving the interest in his career at LSU. I am rooting for him 100% to succeed. Why is that weird?

Not really that weird. He's an Ohio high school football legend, spent 3 years at tOSU and had a huge following of folks who wanted him to start.
Only transferred away because he felt like he was not going to get the opportunity to start, barring injury to Haskins this year and never really be "the guy" there after putting in his due time.
It makes sense why those Ohio folks still follow him.
We still follow Narcisse and Lindsey Scott and they gave up after just 1 year here.

Im not complaining. If we're sitting at 11-1 or 10-2 at the end of the season I think the Burrow/OSU/LSU storyline may somewhat help us in the Playoff/bowl selection process if OSU is in the mix as well. Money talks...
