It will matter if he transfers to another SEC school, start and then beat us

I don’t know why our fans are so convinced our third string QB is going to go to another SEC school and jump into the starting role

When did he play a decent amount for you to see his true skills? You people who say he is terrible are basing this on shitty mop up duty.

Hell, the way things are now with this transfer portal crap, we may end up with Arch Manning in a couple years....

Nope. Plus he is a tiny QB. Big arm, but really a small guy.

Way behind Nuss and JD...

That's EVERY coaching staff of EVERY team in the US. All the way down to my son's Pony League coach.

I'm starting to realize .... very few people posting here have actually played organized sports for a coach. (Not the poster -- I don't know you. but....in aggregate, the shite I see posted here about what coaches and players want. Very few here have been around coaches at any level of sports)

Howard was a 4 star

Depends who you ask. Rivals says 5 star, as did his high school coach, CBK, a whole bunch of sports journalists.

For example --

Kelly has previously addressed the video with Howard in the past and said something along the lines of “if your five-star quarterback asks you to dance, you dance.”

I wouldn't mind someone calling WH a 5 star recruit. I personally call him a 5 star recruit if CBK did.

I had high hopes for him and I’m disappointed

He could have become a Louisiana legend

I am not upset about it though.

Me.

He was third string and 2-3 years in football is a life time.

Who? Walker Howard, or Drew Brees?

You must mean WH. Because when Brees came to New Orleans, people like you were saying Brees is a tiny QB with bad shoulder.

So the staff completely misjudged his abilities and his view of his place at LSU next year. Why was he even recruited?

So strange.

Kudos to Howard

I care that he left and wish he was here but I respect the decision.

People tagging on him but I see it as a bold move by someone doing what he wants to do rather than what others want him to do

Had to be a hard decision being a home boy.

I hope he does well

Some guys are “chestless quitters who didn’t want to compete” and some guys like Beck and Walker are “good kids who just didn’t get the right opportunity”. It’s strange and really can’t put my finger in what the difference is.

The difference is in you. You sort through all the posts and keep the ones that fit your racist narrative. There are plenty of posts on this board calling Howard a quitter. None of these kids should be called that because we don’t know why they are leaving.
