Anyone “ELSE” here Trust that O knows what he is doing holding players out of practice?

Now bear with me I understand this has been discussed ad nauseam but that’s only because expectations are at an all time high so it’s understandable. Miles used to build teams with toughness by probably over practicing and I think it started to bite the team in the arse later in the year especially after adding extra season game. Hopefully what’s happening as we all know these players practice damn near year round and most skill guys keep themselves in top shape so maybe O has somewhat of a new philosophy. Maybe that is to use his years of experience to some use and to rest key players especially if he thinks they are ahead of curve going into the season. Bottom line Is I don’t think we have anything big to worry about at this point.

Yes, because I am sure he is leaning on the medical staff for advice.

Jeez man.
Yes i trust what hes doing.
No its a bad idea to make people play hurt in.practice.
Ask a friend before you post next time.
In its way one of the all time dumbass threads.

I’ll ask your sister to proofread next time dick. I know what I stated is fairly simple to understand and you would think everyone was on the same page but doesn’t seem that way.

So he doesn't know what he's doing... he should make players practice when they're hurt.???? LMAO

How in the frick did you get that out of what I wrote? I swear to Christ half you assholes that reply to threads don’t even read what was written before popping off with a negative response.

I do. He knows his players and is at every practice and has a medical staff to consult with.

You are slow to catch on here. This is the rant. Irrationally popping off is who we are. It’s what we do. The sooner you accept and embrace this, the sooner you will start to have fun.

Yeah I’ll be honest with you that’s what keeps most people who read the rant as “lurkers” because any half decent or positive thoughts get shite on by people with nothing better to do but ruin threads with rude unneeded comments. It gets old dealing with juveniles

Oh ye of little faith....so you think the Head Coach and full staff of a consistent Top 20 team in the nation have not a clue when players should or shouldn’t practice?

Wait, so what exactly was the point of this post then?

Read the fricking post. You read the first and last sentence and assume you know what it’s about. I’ll agree my title “mislead” everyone that I don’t trust what O is doing but that isn’t what I wrote at all and quite the opposite.

Yeah, I think this is actually the opposite of the chicken little threads about injuries and I tend to agree.
Orgeron has definitely taken more of a “new school” approach to practice compared to Miles. That was clear way before this fall camp - less days in pads, less hitting drills, etc. - and I think we are seeing more of that now with a cautionary approach to injuries. It makes sense to me, especially in a year where we are returning a ton of starters.
The players should be showing up to fall camp in good shape. The question for me week 1 isn’t strength or conditioning, as much as it is timing and execution. But I have to trust that the staff is weighing the risks and benefits of holding guys out.

Miles was into a lot of outdated concepts when he was coach here. I'm sure his practice structure was something from 1962.

Thank you sir for actually taking the time to read the thread and post replying in an attempt to have an adult conversation. I know this thread seems basic in theory but most people here haven’t been able to pick this up on their own yet with how O is doing things now. I agree the timing thing is the concern for week 1 but we should be able to 60/40 run to pass ground and pound if needed to get a victory. O knows that Texas game is huge and wants all hands on deck coming to Austin.

Why did you capatilize else and put quotations around it?
Are you questioning our existance?
Jesus, I know this board is full of simple people but would it kill you to at least have a little grasp on the language you've been speaking your whole life?

Dude, your entire post contradicts the title. FFS, fix that shyt so it makes sense. That’s not too much to ask and it’s not being an arse.

At this point I don’t even want Burrow, Delpit, Fulton, Divinity, Jefferson, Cushenberry, Charles, Chase, Vincent, or Stingley doing anything that could get them hurt. Just study the playbook now.
